Tasir Wale Rajilistenⓘ is a Nigerian politician. He is currently serving as a member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. Born on 12 December 1955, he hails from Lagos State and holds a Master's degree in Engineering. He was first elected into the House of Assembly at the 2015 elections, re-elected in 2019, and again in 2023 under the All Progressives Congress(APC).[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]


Early Life and Education

Tasir Olawale Raji was born on 12 December 1955 in Epe, Lagos State. He attended Briston Secondary School, Gboko, where he obtained the West African School Certificate. He later earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University and a Master's degree in Engineering from City, University of London. [8][9]

Career

Before serving in political elected offices ,Tasir Raji has worked in the Lagos State public service as a Branch Manager at National Bank of Nigeria Ltd, Assistant Director and Head of Component at the Lagos State Agricultural Development Project, General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Agricultural Inputs Supply Authority, Director of Cooperative Services, and as the Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State civil service.[10][9]



Political career

Tasir Raji is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was elected to represent Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2015 general election and was re-elected in 2019 and 2023. He has served in the 8th, 9th and 10th National Assemblies. During his tenure, he has represented the constituency on legislative matters and constituency-related issues.[11][12][13]


Legislative activities

Tasir Raji has served as the member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. During the 10th National Assembly, he was appointed Chairman of the House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He has also advocated for increased funding for infrastructure projects, including the prioritisation of the Calabar–Lagos Coastal Highway in the federal budget.[14][15]


Community impacts

Raji has carried out constituency projects in Epe, including the reconstruction of Ayetoro Market. He has also supported educational programmes for students in the constituency.[16][17][18][19][20]
