Extent of his isolation
[edit]As I read this new, well-written and very interesting article, I was left a bit confused: To what extent was Zhu Wengui actually isolated? He reportedly could not even speak properly (which suggests a draconian isolation with little to no companionship) but somehow had alleged descendants (which would require more substantial human contact). Do the sources or researchers actually address this discrepancy? Applodion (talk) 10:05, 19 September 2026 (UTC)

- "He was later transferred to the 'High Walls' (高牆), a special prison for members of the Ming imperial family convicted of crimes." Is it known at which date he was transferred?
- The source I have does not specify when this happened; it only uses the term 后来 (later).
- Is there any information on spouses and children?
- The source I have does not clearly state this.
- "During the Southern Ming dynasty, Zhu Wengui was posthumously granted the title of Prince of Runhuai (潤懷王)." Does the source indicate which emperor gave him this title?
- My source does not provide specific details; it only states that: 南明年间,朱文圭被追谥为润怀王
