Infobox image has an appropriate NFUR and is compliant with NFCC
Cover of The Ladies Journal is PD, relevant, and appropriately captioned
Stability: No issues
Copyright: Earwig is flagging the Shiao thesis, but the overlap all seems to be quotes, proper nouns, and titles. I don't see any other red flags. Will do further checks for close paraphrasing and transvio as part of my source spot checks

Seem fine to me.-G
published in an article in the journal New Tide, denouncing it as a "crime against mankind" for its conservative and anti-feminist stances — Could I suggest simplifying the phrasing of this sentence to something like: denounced it in the journal New Tide as a "crime against mankind" for its conservative and anti-feminist stances.
Good idea.-G
The journal was among the press's least popular magazines, and Zhang later accused the Commercial Press of maintaining it only for profit, not caring for its editorial direction. Shen Yanbing (better known as Mao Dun) took over editorship of the journal in May 1919 — From context "the journal" here is The Ladies' Journal, but I'd suggest specifying as I got a bit lost in the different publications on my first reading. I also think the chronology could also be made slightly clearer, i.e. that Shen became (de facto?) editor of The Ladies' Journal in 1919, and was then offered the position of editor at Fiction Monthly in addition to his existing position at The Ladies Journal in 1920
Fixed.-G
Zhang ran into political tensions with the Commercial Press leadership, including the company's president Wang Yunwu, who was particularly angered by his decision to join an anti-imperialist alliance of academic societies after the May Thirtieth Incident. — Was this in connection to the Women's Questions Research Association, or did he join a separate organisation?
Clarified.-G
they were able to complete and finish the first issue of New Women in mid-December — "Complete and finish" seems redundant, should this instead be "complete and publish"? I'd also suggest specifying a date of mid-December 1925
Done.-G
featured a much greater emphasis on reader responses — I think this could use a little more of an explanation about what a "greater emphasis on reader responses" means (i.e. that they often published reader submissions and attempted to cultivate a relationship/dialogue with their readers)
