Plot summary

Although the series not been aired yet, clearly it's been seen by reviewers who have even published capsule summaries, e.g. at the Small Wars Journal . I don't think neutral plot summaries need extensive citations. ☆ Bri (talk) 16:55, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

So, I've noticed that almost zero film articles have citations in plot summaries, for example The Godfather#Plot, Bicycle Thieves#Plot, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure#Plot. MOS:FILMPLOT states explicitly Since films are primary sources for their articles, basic descriptions of their plots do not need references to an outside source. You are talking about the manual for films. In this case it's a ten episode television series, and most importantly we don't have the primary source. Sir John Hermon (talk) 17:41, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

I don't think its any different for television series... But I do see your point, I take it you won't object to a plot summary after it is publically released? One thing I would note is the length of the trailer they released, its as long as a full episode of many television series. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 01:08, 14 May 2025 (UTC)

The better way to approach this would be to focus the attention on the 15-minute trailer that was released. There should be a ton of references that discuss this - and that is all we can use here. And even then, we have to be especially vigilant and cognizant of pro-PRC warriors who are going to come here to thrash the article, citing denigratory sources almost certainly originating from Chinese [read: Chinese governmental] sources. UNDUE is going to be critical when this series finally broadcasts.

TL;DR: focus on the 15 minute trailer, for which there is a lot of references we can use prior to the premiere of the series. After it premieres, this article is going to be edit-warred into protection by competing points of view. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 16:17, 28 July 2025 (UTC)
