Laptops

What's with the horribly-written blurb about clamshell laptops at the bottom of the article? I'm tempted to remove it because, aside from needing a complete rewrite, I don't think the ZWL series were the first laptops to use the clamshell design (the Tandy Model 200 might have beaten them but I'm still looking). -lee 05:24, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

"SpeakEZ" VCR voice guide

I'm not sure how this would fit in, but I've used a Zenith VCR using this voice guide (I've heard of an older Sony Betamax with a voice guide built in, around 1984). If someone knows its development, it would be greatly appreciated. Jedo1507r 05:16, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

I would like to add a link to a technical support site for Zenith. At http://www.fixya.com/support/zenith there are experts that solve technical problems for free. It's also rated #1 when searching Google for "Zenith support" and "Zenith troubleshooting". I believe it's beneficial, if you have any comments please write them below. "Improved" Model ATSC Conveter Now Available

As of June 2008, The DTT901 ATSC converter in now available. It functions identically to the DTT900 and has this added feature: When it is turned "off" it allows analog signal pass-through.

History

Want to add something, but I'm not sure this is the correct way to get a new section, so this is also a test.

My dad, worked for Rauland (associated with Rauland-Borg, Rauland Critical Communication & AMATEK) in the 60s and they also did other research as well as making other tubes my dad led development on. They were scan converter and data storage tubes. I have some of these tubes, but am not sure if some unmarked ones are from Rauland because I think that whole group went to Warnecke Electron Tubes in Des Planes IL. I'm not sure if Warkecke was a startup of Rauland guys, but it was later bought/absorbed by Northrup. I also have some papers to look through

I also worked at Rauland after the Navy in 1966-7 in the micro Channel dept. This was a glass plate with millions of holes used in medical filtering and a night vision tube; a more advanced technology than the previous, I believe, called the "Star-light Scope". I tested the plates for the night vision tubes. I am unaware of many other on-line docs, but have some printed article copies from that era when Rauland's things were auctioned, by dad's co-worker Adolf Schmidt. The Ladies Home Journal advertisement is captioned as being for Zenith televisions, but the product in the illustration in the ad is not a TV set and the copy below does not mention television.
