- ... that a Pakistani teenager had never heard of Islamabad, his own country's capital, when he was executed for terrorism in Afghanistan?
- Source: Taliban behind brutal Afghan bank attack unrepentant: When the hood was removed from his head, he looked confused: he (Ajam) had never seen a camera before, nor had he heard of Pakistan's capital, Islamabad.

Overall:
"Ajam showed remorse and apologized for his actions shortly before his execution." also sounds interesting. Birth date seems to be unsourced. Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 14:16, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hey thanks Vacant0; thanks for the review. As for date of birth, it happened in the review of Wixom Assembly Plant shooting's DYK too. The age is deduced by a widely used template, used in cases where age cannot be sourced to a specific date... It is a template :(brackets)age based on... Examples of this are James Morosini or Viktor Pylypenko (military). Ajam was 17 on the day of his execution (20 June 2011) ... the template deduces the years of possible birth. Thanks, and please tell me if that was clarified. CoryGlee 14:52, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- I get what you're saying but the age of death is unsourced. It is mentioned in the lede, but it is not backed up by references. Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 15:52, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Vacant0: first line of first source. ABC NEWS CoryGlee 16:16, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- OK, but you should add a citation next to the claim that he was 17 at the time of his death. Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 16:37, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- OK, done... I was once told that lead sections are not usually referenced per MOS. Anyway. Done. CoryGlee 16:40, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- The lede does not require references as long as the information is backed up by references in the article's body. In this article, this is not the case. The claim that he was 17 by the time of his death is only mentioned in the lede and the infobox, not in the body. Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 16:47, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
