Brendan Philip (nod to Zamrock)

Toronto-based musician/artist Brendan Philip, in collaboration with Andrew Gordon Macpherson, has attributed Zamrock and Black Sabbath as influences on his Bandcamp.

In March 2026 he was interviewed by Kevin Ward (Broken Social Scene / icon of Canadian indie) on SiriusXM.

I think he's reached sufficient exposure for consideration to be mentioned here? It could perhaps encourage current and future artists to explore psychedelic r&b/rock, the story of Zamrock, origins of African influence in (Western) popular music, and the lingering echoes from the late 70s -- a time of uncertainty, contemplation, and disillusionment.
