Is the term 'boondoggle' the correct one to use here, as in-

"Before its 1995 opening, it was widely feared that the Yurikamome would end up as a multibillion-yen boondoggle."

surely the more well known 'white elephant' would be more appropriate. --Myfanwy 11:01, 4 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I added the information about the english ticket terminals, because I think that's really interesting for anyone who wants to go to Tokyo but is not good at japanese.

In Fiction - Section content is potentially wrong.

Currently the content in the In Fiction section is potentially wrong.

As of writing, it says:

" The line is featured in the anime Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club from the Love Live! franchise, with a fictional station bearing the school's name from the show. "

While the Yurikamome units are depicted in the anime, it is not the station that bears the fictional school's name, or at least, never mentioned or shown that it is the case.

Evidence suggests that the station bearing the fictional school name is Kokusai-Tenjijō Station of Rinkai Line. The station is close to Tokyo Big Sight, which is the location of the fictional school.

In S1E13 there's a depiction of the front entrance of the station. The style of the signage is also very similar to Rinkai Line's signage. The station number is also 3, Which is the number of Kokusai-Tenjijō Station. Number 3 station: Takeshiba Station on the Yurikamome line is nowhere near Tokyo Big Sight.

In S2E5, the characters are also depicted boarding at an underground platform, bearing the name of the school. Kokusai-tenjijo's platforms are underground. There are no sections of the Yurikamome that is under ground.

Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit is also the one to have regular collaborations with the anime series, with once changing the station signs to the name of the school, and regularly selling merchandise related to the anime.

As such, I believe that there is not enough content to support the fact that the fictional station bearing the school's name exists in universe, at least not from the anime. Neo-Sky-11 (talk) 07:10, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
