Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on September 11, 2015.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that York City F.C. and York City Knights RLFC are expected to move into the York Community Stadium in 2017?

Seating capacity of the stadium

[edit]

In July 2019, a planning application was submitted to increase the seating capacity within the stadium from 8,000 to 8,500 seats. See York Stadium to get an extra 400 seats. This was agreed by the Council in December 2019. There is no third-party report of the agreement (I checked the Council’s planning portal for the information) but no doubt the 8,500 figure will be reported somewhere in due course. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 01:03, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
