I condensed the sections on the Boxer war to focus on the "Peril" ideology and stereotypes--the military action is fully covered in the main articles on the Boxer Rebellion.

I cut out the Ehrenfels proposal for polygamy as a solution to the Yellow Peril. It got no academic or popular support. -- here's what Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy says: "The endeavors Ehrenfels passionately pursued later on, even though partially related to and building on his earlier work, ended for the most part in failure. His proposals for sexual and social reforms fell flat, the idea of establishing a new religion went nowhere, and the discovery of the one and only law of primes turned out to be a very minor accomplishment" [See https://plato.stanford.edu/eNtRIeS/ehrenfels/#Leg] Rjensen (talk) 05:11, 23 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
