Name Origin Of Yaremche

[edit]

Well my grandmother lives in Yaremche and I recently asked her why it was called Yaremche. She said that apparently the first person who lived there was called Yarema (ярема) and the town was named after him or something. 193.33.38.63 (talk) 10:23, 27 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I just checked the Ukrainian version of this article and it provides the same reasoning. I’m just really confused and annoyed that Wikipedia articles can differ so much in different languages. The name has nothing to do with any turkish words 193.33.38.63 (talk) 10:25, 27 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
