yano etymology

[edit]

yano is a cebuano word for "simple". the one used in quezon is an expression which maybe a contraction of the word "ay, ano!". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.144.117.36 (talk) 04:01, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Lock this pages to protect my band pages!

Please state your reason why this needs to be locked. What are the disruptive edits? --Jojit (talk) 07:54, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

My reason is this page is for requesting to lock. Protection is used to stop edit between multiple users or to prevent vandalism.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Yanopinas109 (talkcontribs) 09:19, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Yanopinas109, first and foremost, thanks for your contribution. I don't see any persistent vandalism on this article. Articles can only be protected if there's persistent vandalism and even if it would be protected, it won't be forever. Let me remind you that nobody owns an article in Wikipedia. So, anyone can edit and as long as the edit is valid and well referenced, it stays. You can not stop multiple users in editing an article and it is not a valid reason to lock the page. I hope that you understand. --Jojit (talk) 09:36, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
