The name

Several Russian dictionaries I've checked would indicate that you're right - ya (Я) does indeed mean "I" or "me". I can't find anything to suggest that it means "your", though - I believe that's Vash (Ваш). Perhaps we should remove that claim until someone can check it fully? -- Vardion 07:10, 22 Feb 2004 (UTC)

'Ya' means 'I' (or 'me'). 'Ty' is 'you' (singular), 'tvoy' is 'your' (singular). 'Vash' is 'your' (plural). Constanz 15:09, 24 November 2005 (UTC)

Yabloko means apple in Russian. If I recall correctly, the name is an acronym from 3 founding members' last names: Yavlinskiy, Boldyrev, and Lukin. Stress marks?

Why does letters such as "и́", "Я́" and "а́" have stress marks on them? I thought stress marks where only used to help people learn Russian. SaluteChciken (talk) 16:08, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

Stress is routinely indicated in general reference materials, such as dictionaries and encyclopedias, not just in textbooks. Since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, we show stress too (but only on the first occurrence). Maybe add one governor to elected representatives list

As listed on list of heads of federal subjects of Russia, one of the governors in Russia is Dmitry Makhonin, who is a member of the Yabloko party. Would it then be worth adding one governor to the graphic of elected representatives in the summary box for the Yabloko party? Caretaker John (talk) 16:54, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
