Merge proposal

- The result of this discussion was merged. This was boldly merged less than 7 days after the tags were added, but I don't think that matters. The merge was based on a guideline that discourages separate articles for monotypic animal taxa and their subtaxa. I see no reasonable chance of a different outcome, and therefore no need to keep this discussion open. Chess enjoyer (talk) 10:24, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
