Still in use?
[edit]Anyone else still using this app? I use it on a Win98 box I have and still love it. It's both powerful, and yet simple, with a clean UI. DesScorp 21:43, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- I switched to OSX (and subsequently finally learned Linux) in 2000, so I've been using irssi since then. However, on Win9x in the mid-to-late-90s, Xircon+Kano was basically BitchX for Windows without as much script configuration. 71.162.141.218 20:32, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

- Came across a user draft of the article after the screenshot was put up in WP:FfD, maybe a decade since the article's deletion. After a quick glance at Google Books it was clear that XiRCON could meet Wikipedia's standard for notability. I've just updated and restored the article. There are a number of published books that recommend XiRCON. It was used by US Naval command for communications at one point, and they published a paper about its use for real-time communications. None of this was mentioned in the original Wikipedia article that was deleted. My updates have added that information, and split out some of the claims that lack secondary sources. --Elephanthunter (talk) 23:03, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
