Section on frustrations of MS Certification?

[edit]

Several indie developers have expressed frustration at the XBLA certification process. Can/should this be added while keeping WP:NPOV? --Teancum (talk) 18:01, 23 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

False/outdated info

[edit]

I might do something about this later, but worth discussing if anyone is around:

Every Arcade title on the Xbox 360 supports leaderboards, has 200 Achievement points, and high-definition 720p graphics.

So that is very obviously not the case. It isn't hard to find XBLA games that lack leaderboards, the 200G was raised to 400G but with exceptions (e.g. The Walking Dead is 100G base, 600G including DLC) and some games were permitted to render at sub-720p, such as Trials Evolution.

But possibly those did used to be the certification requirements, maybe even remained as such (only with 200G becoming 400G) with publishers having to request exceptions. I'm not entirely sure... will have to keep my eyes peeled, especially in regards to games from close to the Xbox 360's launch. Here for the one billionth edit (talk) 07:26, 3 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
