A recent post at the Teahouse has highlighted that "... there is important new information to add to the article on Wulfric Spot: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wulfric_Spot What may be his seal matrix has finally been acquired by the British Museum. See the history blog article at http://www.thehistoryblog.com/archives/57398"

Here's the tweet from an (unverified) curator at the British Museum:. I'm afraid it's not true that the byname isn't mentioned in any other contemporary sources - There is an Alfric in the St Peter’s Abbey-Church Acquittances (Bath) Acquittances, and a moneyer named Godric Spot Faust.TSFL (talk) 17:28, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
