An explanation of the name?

[edit]

An explanation of the name would be interesting.  Preceding unsigned comment added by D-b (talkcontribs) 21:29, 30 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Farmhouse

[edit]

Is this article about the manor house or the farmhouse? Both images seem to be of the "neighbouring farmhouse" and that's how the infobox is named. The actual manor house looks like this.Martinevans123 (talk) 13:26, 10 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Indeed the article is unclear. Most of the notability comes from the medieval house (demolished 1723). The present 17th-century house and 16th-century farmhouse deserve mentions since they are listed buildings and are continuations of the name. I would drop the infobox and both images of the farmhouse, which are only there because we have no better images. Wire723 (talk) 10:53, 11 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for clarifying. Yes, tricky to get a good photo of the original. I'd still argue that the infobox is useful, even without any image. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:58, 11 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
