Nastassja Kinski says she was a preteen during the time of filming yet appeared topless, is this notable to mention in the movie summary or trivia and comparable to Brooke Shields? 174.115.134.69 (talk) 17:28, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

I don't think that Nastassja Kinski was actually 12 when her scenes were filmed. She was born in January, 1961, so she turned 13 in January, 1974. By the calendar, Wenders would have been still doing post-production on Alice in the Cities, which was filmed through summer 1973, at that time. The Wrong Move was filmed over 4 weeks. If it followed a similar post-production schedule as Alice In The City, The Wrong Move would have been filmed in spring 1974, making Kinski 13. Also, in audio commentary for The Wrong Move, Wenders says that she was 13 during the contract negotiations. I could just change it and cite the Wenders audio commentary, but, if Kinski has said something else, I don't want to get into that. ---- User:AlanPerry 22:00, 13 January 2020 (PST)

"Wrong Move," wrong?

Strangely, the German title is "Falsche Bewegung." Translated, this should have become "Wrong Motion" or perhaps "Wrong Movement." But, the sense conveyed would then be quite different. hgwb (talk) 09:09, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

"Wrong Move" may not be a direct translation of the German title, but that was the English version of the title when the film was released. Similarly, Wings of Desire is not a direct translation of its German title ("Der Himmel über Berlin" or "The Sky (or Heaven) Over Berlin") and neither is Kings of the Road ("Im Lauf der Zeit or "In the course of time"). However, I think there is a problem with the title of this page; I think it should be "Wrong Move" and not "The Wrong Move". ---- AlanPerry (talk) 20:10, 16 January 2020 (PST)

Although Wrong Move is how I know the film (through Criterion) there may be a MOS:RETAIN issue here. The Wrong Move was the British title (see Release) and this article may have been named by a British editor. Ribbet32 (talk) 18:32, 17 January 2020 (UTC)

I also found a movie poster unrelated to the Criterion release that call it Wrong Move. But the IMDB AKA for the film lists both Wrong Move and The Wrong Move as English-language versions of the title. AlanPerry (talk) 23:35, 20 January 2020 (PST)

I contacted the Wim Wenders Foundation and the person who responded there indicated that Wrong Move is the English-language title for the film. That is the title that they display on the English version of their website. I recommend that the title for this entry be changed and that the Foundation website be cited as the source for the change. AlanPerry (talk) 11:20, 22 January 2020 (PST)
