[edit]I'm new to this activity. "Worldware" is a term that has been used in the literature of educational uses of technology. What does this mean?

The section ("Origin and development of the idea") that reads too much like a personal essay is, probably, in fact a personal essay. It was created in bulk by Sehrmann whose userpage declares him "Steven C Ehrmann works at the TLT Group in Washington DC."
Ehrmann's reminicences about his work at Educom are interesting, and if he wanted to publish them on his personal blog, I would have no problem pointing our readers there with an EL. Unfortunately, they are not accurate in some parts that can be checked. For example, he states "Educom is now Educause," but according to Educause history, "EDUCAUSE was formed in 1998 through a merger between CAUSE and Educom." Ehrmann states (in Wikipedia's voice) that he (Ehrmann) was the leader of VVS but writing in Telematics for Writing and Training he says that Paul Morris of Tufts University led VVS and that it was the VVS group that who coined the term "worldware."Valuable%2C%20Viable%20Software%22%20Educom&f=false
I propose to trim this section to elements that have been reported in work whose original publisher was not Wikipedia. HouseOfChange (talk) 18:15, 4 July 2020 (UTC)
- With help from suggestions of useful references by Mbdfar and Superastig during the AfD, I think this could now be an accurate and possibly useful article for Wikipedia. More improvements welcome. HouseOfChange (talk) 21:12, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
