No - talk to User:Ryulong,a nd he'll tell you why. If you want the cliffsnotes version, then we need to have as FEW fair-use pics as possible per article (mainly because of the fact that Wikipedia has been rebelling against fair-use images for the past year). Besides, the Crystal sprite for Wooper differs from both the male and female Diamond/Pearl sprites for Wooper, and thus can be confusing. -Jeske ^{(v^_^v)} 00:40, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Concept and creation

• "affected his approach to the next Pokémon franchise titles, Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire." It might be just me but the wording somewhat seems like Ruby and Sapphire are upcoming games yet to be released not that they were the next following Gold and Silver.

Notability

Is Wooper really that notable to have its own page? The most notable Pokemon of this gen are arguably Togepi, Ho-Oh and Lugia due to their roles in the anime, and even they don't have their own pages. Xoyid (talk) 18:10, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

the long answer is "yes"

notability here boils down to if sources cover a topic, and sources cover wooper in enough detail to justify this being a good article. it's why wooper and that pot-bellied asshole have articles, and why greninja and togepi still don't (though greninja actually has some neat history as a merge) consarn _{(talck) (contirbuton s)} 18:20, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
