Character

[edit]

I am not sure if the description that has been written under the Character section is more of a personal opinion, especially as it has no references. Clearly there is documented evidence that Winnersh existed and I have put some more words into this, be it not as the urban area that it is today. Perhaps it needs to be reworded? I will leave this open for others to comment....! Fluffball70 18:30, 31 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation

[edit]

I have reverted the removal of the transcription of the pronunciation:

  • There is no ban on using video links as source (cf. Wikipedia:Video links). What matters is the publisher of the video. In this case, it is a news channel targeted at the district in question, which is sufficiently reliable for the pronunciation of the name of the village.
  • There is no reason to assume that the transcription is incorrect. The pronunciation used in the video and transcribed by me aligns with the pronunciation used in other videos produced by locals (e.g., , , , ).

Please refrain from reverting my edit once again. Isoglosse (talk) 19:29, 10 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
