Archibald Howell House, Kennesaw Ave., Marietta, Georgia ."Is this the Howell-Sessions-Hallman House, 303 Kennesaw Avenue, in Northwest Marietta Historic District? "Another Greek Revival home, the Howell-Sessions- Hallman House, (c.1848), 303 Kennesaw Avenue, about 200 yards south of "Tranquilla", is a monumental two story, porticoed structure with & four room central hall. The Howell-Sessions-Hallman House was used as a headquarters for a Federal Gerferal during the Civil War and later, in the 1880 f s was used as the Harwood Female Seminary; in the 1890 f s a Moultrie Sessions purchased the property and performed extensive exterior and interior changes." (p.2 in NRHP doc for the district).

He designed the first iteration of Mimosa Hall for the Dunwoody family. The night of the initial house warming party, coals were knocked out of a lit fireplace and the home burned to the ground. Willis Ball did not redesign the new home, the Dunwoody Family chose another contractor who was available at the time.

Wanderlust Atlanta about touring 3 Roswell houses and supposedly can't even take exterior photos unless for personal use.
