Neither article is eligible for DYK per WP:DYKLEN. The requirement is that a new article must have at least 1500 characters of original prose, and according to Copyvio Detector, William Scattergood and George Matthews each have only about 200 characters of original prose each, considering virtually all the text was copied (with attribution) from Jack Hughes (umpire). Please review WP:DYKG to ensure future contributions are eligible, and feel free to ask questions about eligibility at the WP:TEAHOUSE or WT:DYK.
