I understand a convention that individuals listed in the Dictionary of National Biography are generally accepted to be notable, their inclusion in that highly selective dictionary being central evidence.

Orphan Tag

Personally I feel that this tag should remain. At the very least I can see an incoming link from The Sorrows of Young Werther as this article actually lists translations of the work. If I knew more about the trnslation in question I'd add it that page, create an incoming link and solve the problem. Unfortunately I don't so can't do so. It's possible taht similar ioncoming links could also come from The Robbers, Don Carlos (play), Mary Stuart (play). If his translations of these works aren't important enough to be inlcuded in these articles I'd query whether William Render is notable enough for his own article. Huh?

This sentence seems to confuse fiction with reality: "He was a fellow student at Giessen University with a brother of Charlotte (Werther's inamorata), and was well acquainted with Werther himself.
