The draft was declined, not rejected. Rejected has a specific meaning in the draft process, that a draft may not be resubmitted. Declined means that it may be resubmitted.
Pardon me re: rejection. (5) - he holds a named chair. Arguably also (1) - he gave a prestigious named lecture, is on the editorial board of several well-regarded journals (most notably the American Journal of Comparative Law), and has a few unusually well-cited publications. @Plinthist: yep, I would agree with you there, and that named chair is usually a pretty good indicator of academic notability, another is the two-volume From Kant to Hilbert (OUP). @Cmajorftw: would you mind reverting your decline and accepting this instead? I see the case for academic notability under WP:NACADEMIC C5 given the named chair. My initial decline was based on the lack of independent secondary sources, and how the draft is very thin and deserve a better coverage on Wikipedia. As @331dot said my rejection only means you can improve the article more before getting accepted.. However, if the consensus is that the article in its current state is more than enough, I have no objection to the draft being accepted. Cmajorftw19:47, 10 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
