This article misses out a lot of information such as Newton's conflict of interest (Chaloner had applied to work at the Mint and essentially take Newton's job), such as the fact that Newton would pardon a person from the gallows if they would accuse two others, and the fact that the evidence against Chaloner was contradictory and inconsistent. Some histories from near the time sided heavily with Newton.
