In the Teahouse, an IP editor claiming to be a descendent of William Brand has questioned the image used in this article, saying that he and his family are convinced it's of someone else, possibly a contemporary politician of similar build. The image at Commons hasn't got sufficient information with it to trace where it came from. I don't think we can justify having an image whose source is unknown, where a doubt has been raised as to whether it's actually the right person. I think it's better to have no image until we can find an image that we're certain is the correct person. The IP editor has provided a link at https://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/brand-sir-william-alfred-9573 but this would be copyright. This image does however show the IP editor could be correct; the man looks similar but subtly different, and to my eyes, probably not the same person. Elemimele (talk) 06:02, 23 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
