Contesting the speedy deletion request of William Abbe. Information was added since the first notice to provide relevance to the page. William Abbe was the first white settler in Linn County, Iowa and many areas around his homestead were given the named of Abbe. Abbe Creek, Abbe Creek School, etc. This information is quite relevant to Linn County, Iowa and deserves to be included as a resource here. Thank you for your contribution. You made your case for now :) However, wikipedia prefers inline-citations and, in most cases, more then one source. I found out about this guy by putting "William Abbe 1800" into google.com. You might find more there. Seb az86556 (talk) 17:59, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
