[edit]Anyone who is a fan of DH Lawrence is likely to register the similarities between Willesley estate and the estates in DHL work with a combination of mining and estate management - look at the Chatterley estate in Lady C. for a view of life in such a place post first world war as they struggle to combine the industrial world with the old fashioned Downton Abbey style of life.
