In the literature Wihlem List is mentioned without "von". -- John N. 16:48, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Could it be that Sigmund Wilhelm List and Wilhelm List are the same person? MisterBee1966 10:28, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

References

The cited Reference "FZ-Verlag GmbH" is to be handled with extreme care! This publisher is close to right-wing extremist and Nazi groups. For this reason it is under permanent observation of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution ("Verfassungschutz"). In its 2001 report it was described as "the single most important right wing extremist instrument of propaganda" in Germany. I don't think it is a quotable or useful source/reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.132.166.175 (talk) 06:46, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

However, we have material from "BATTLESTORM STALINGRAD E16" on Youtube, an article from Life Magazine in 1939 and literature from "Pen and Sword Books Ltd", so on the whole, the article is solidly sourced and well balanced. 2A02:AA1:1043:2309:71DE:ABE0:6FC9:DD0F (talk) 21:33, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

War criminal first and foremost.

[edit]

I have changed the introduction to "German war criminal and Generalfeldmarschal". Although it could alternatively be "German Generalfeldmarschal and war criminal". I believe it is correct to give emphasis to the very serious matter of a life sentence for crimes against humanity. It is a more "exclusive" and high rofile club than being a german field marshal.
