Is it really closing ?

[edit]

Is it an April Fool or a real closing ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.89.146.40 (talk) 17:47, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Think this is relevant to the article? From http://alpha.search.wikia.com/about.html gren グレン 08:27, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

COI

[edit]

I have added a COI tag because of the {{Wikia is not Wikipedia}} template. Rich Farmbrough, 21:06 5 February 2008 (GMT).

I can't see what that template used to say, not being an admin, but seeing as the template is no longer on the article, would it fair to remove {{COI}}? (I'm asking here rather than just doing it because a) it would probably be a controversial edit, and b) I don't care much for controversy) Dreaded Walrus t c 16:49, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
It was a disclaimer box that said "Note: Wikia is not a part of Wikipedia or of the Wikimedia Foundation. They are entirely separate entities that operate independently. Wikia, Inc.’s projects, including Wikia Search, are not commercially related to Wikipedia.org or The Wikimedia Foundation." Deleted per Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Log/2008 February 5#Template:Wikia is not Wikipedia. I wouldn't be opposed to removing COI, but I was distracted through this whole controversy, and have no idea what the original adder thinks. Cool Hand Luke 17:21, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Maybe we need a template {{Wikia Search is not the search engine on Wikipedia}} to make sure journalists don't get it wrong ... Vesal (talk) 22:31, 6 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dead? Wat?

[edit]

What is all this added nonsense about Wikia Search being no more? I clicked the link, the page loads, it searches. I did it again. It worked. Again. Still works. Perhaps my Internet is broken and I'm seeing ghosts? Krushia (talk) 02:44, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

"I see dead people websites". The project itself is dead - when the website gives up the ghost is another issue. -- Seth Finkelstein (talk) 02:54, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
I know BBC did an april fools with this, so that could be the reason why. 75.166.97.83 (talk) 12:13, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Two History sections?

[edit]

Is it just me or this article has two "History" sections? --damiens.rf 16:40, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
