Specificity and Sensitivity
[edit]The Widal test is severely hampered by its low sensitivity and specificity and, in general, by its erratic performance. Such is the degree of uncertainty of this test as a diagnostic tool for Typhoid fever that its use in the majority of the developed countries has been abandoned. The article is not assertive enough in discussing this issue.
