Donington Park

[edit]

The Donington Park page says: "The first Donington Park Trophy race was held on 7 October 1933, and was won by the Earl Howe in a Bugatti Type 51." This is in conflict with this page. Motor Sport, November 1933, Page 37 gives Earl Howe as the winner of the 20-lap invitation event on 7 October; Whitney Straight is given as a non-starter. I can find no evidence of Whitney Straight winning a race at Donington in 1933. Rupertlt (talk) 21:00, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

The info is referenced to the Motor Sport article, a quick search agrees that he didnt start among other references is Straight had engine trouble with his Maserati and did not arrive either. Probably best to remove it. MilborneOne (talk) 21:44, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
