Article

I previously removed a reference to Sterling Holloway (as the voice of the White Rabbit from the 1951 Disney film), because a perusal both of his page in Wikipedia and in IMDB indicate that he was the voice of the Cheshire Cat; neither says anything about him also being the voice of the White Rabbit. Matrix ?

What's about The Matrix ? "Follow the white rabbit" just in the beginning of the movie. It's known to be a constant parallel to Alice in Wonderland, but maybe it could be added - Chase 84.60.201.51 22:29, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Nearly pointless article

As far as I can tell, outside Wikipedia, NO ONE uses White Rabbit to refer to the character, they all refer to the character as White Rabbit (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland). Gender

The article says "Gender: Male", but it's a bit more interesting than that: the pronoun used is sometimes it and sometimes he, and I suspect that there's method in the madness: Lewis Carroll is deliberately or unconsciously applying an animacy hierarchy. Ideally this would be indicated somehow in the article. How does Wikipedia describe the gender of a character that is consistently referred to with it? I can't at the moment think of such a character but there must be one somewhere in English literature that is sufficiently noteworthy to have its own Wikipedia article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lingvano (talk • contribs) 16:57, 10 August 2021 (UTC)

Lateness - unreliable source?

So, the White Rabbit is always late. Back in 2021 (revision ) someone edited the page to claim it's because Carroll was from Oxford, and Oxford is always five minutes late - but the text itself never says the White Rabbit was specifically five minutes late, just that he's late. The source cited leads to this blog here , a travel blogger with a tour guide who makes the White Rabbit claim.

I'm going to go ahead and suggest "a tour guide said it" might not meet the standards for reliability, and I'm struggling to find any more reliable sources - this fansite suggests two possible explanations (one being Oxford time, the other being Henry Liddell having a reputation for lateness). ~2026-41647-80 (talk) 18:42, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
