This notion that the complete "When the Pawn" poem is the title of the album is debatable. The spine and discs of the release only have the title, "When the Pawn," (see images at Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/master/88826-Fiona-Apple-When-The-Pawn-Hits-The-Conflicts-He-Thinks-Like-A-King-What-He-Knows-Throws-The-Blows-Wh) and simply because those three words are the first words of the poem on the cover does not suggest that the title is the complete poem. Text being on the cover does not mean that text is necessarily part of the title; there are often images with text on album covers. Nor is there any ellipsis in either version of the title, so "When the Pawn..." is incorrect either way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2025-43173-76 (talk) 21:40, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
Second album cover
[edit]Apart from the issue of potential copyright infringement, I generally don't think it's a good idea to include additional album covers in articles because it spills over into WP:INDISCRIMINATE. Does it really add encylopedic value? It seems to be something that only happens on music pages - no one seems to want to add multiple covers for novels, video games, DVD releases, etc. Popcornfud (talk) 10:49, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
