Authority?

[edit]

So far as I can see there is no really ancient authority whatsover to suggest that Wendreda was a daughter of King Anna, and I believe this claim to be entirely fabricated somewhere down the line. It may possibly have been suggested by one of the rustier antiquaries or an over-excitable Bollandist, but really in all respectable company this is in the category of "beastly rot". The bona fide daughters of Anna were Seaxburh, AEthelburh, AEthelthryth, Wihtburh and Saethryth. Eebahgum (talk) 01:55, 1 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose merging Wynthryth into Wendreda. I think they might be the same individual. Evangelista (talk) 18:24, 8 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oppose, unless clearer evidence is presented. They are described as having different sexes, which makes equivalence unlikely. Klbrain (talk) 20:38, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Closing, given the uncontested objection and no support, with stale discussion. Klbrain (talk) 16:36, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
