Proposed split to create new article for the building

[edit]

This article currently has content about the Wellington City Council organisation that manages libraries across the city, and also has content about the central library building that was closed in 2019 in response to concerns that it had earthquake strength vulnerabilities. There is extensive coverage of the building in news sources, and it appears sufficiently notable to have its own article. I therefore propose that content about the building should be split off from this article into a new article: Wellington Central Library, leaving just a short summary in this article. Agreed!Wainuiomartian (talk) 18:12, 15 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I agree too. Pakoire (talk) 00:41, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Split is done, but substantial work is needed to both this article and the new article Wellington Central Library. I have updated Wikidata with the new article name.--Marshelec (talk) 03:40, 20 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
