– No obvious WP:PRIMARYTOPIC (PT). It's only historical that the surname article is located at the primary topic and it was incorrectly hosting dab entries until recently. Now they're split correctly into a dab, with the university and the surname being the the main items. Per WP:DETERMINEPRIMARY original source of the name is also not determinative
so there's no default (PT) to the surname. Widefox; talk 00:05, 2 February 2026 (UTC) — Relisting. TarnishedPathtalk 14:25, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
- I have no idea why this split of 6 + 4 items would be "correct". It seems like we're making life harder on everyone by doing that. The WP:NAMELIST guideline says we should split long lists. There is no long list here! --Joy (talk) 08:48, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
- (looking at the history) the early versions of the PT was a surname article rather than a dab. My reading of WP:NAMELIST is just about limiting name entries on dabs per WP:PTM (i.e. per Lincoln example) which I presume would only be Chaim Weizmann and maybe Ezer Weizman. Widefox; talk 22:30, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- What I'm saying is that the value for the average reader in splitting the two lists is nearly non-existent. Forcing readers to click twice and editors to pick and choose who to list where is a complete waste of time. It should be merged into a single list of 10 entries tagged {{disambig|surname}} and we're done. --Joy (talk) 05:52, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
- I also followed up on this in general at Wikipedia talk:Disambiguation#WP:NAMELIST phrasing. --Joy (talk) 06:33, 5 February 2026 (UTC)

- Support the surname has 73 views but the Institute of Science has 3,369[]. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:13, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose 1st, support 2nd I think the institute is primary topic here. There ought to be a primary redirect, the name does not seem independently notable. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 09:53, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
- Weak support, considering the institution is named because of a last name. No PRIMARYTOPIC.--Ortizesp (talk) 17:47, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
