Weather data changes
[edit]iOS 7 was the final version of iOS to feature the weather data from Yahoo! Weather, even though its successor, iOS 8, was the first version of iOS to feature it from The Weather Channel. iOS 15 was the final version of iOS to feature the weather data from the Weather Channel, even though its successor, iOS 16, was the first version of iOS to feature it from Apple. 2603:7000:B500:70D:A97A:C9C8:968A:5C79 (talk) 23:35, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
Where does WeatherKit get its information
[edit]The article lacks details on where WeatherKit gets its information. The most reasonable citation I can find answering this question is /www.clrn.org/where-does-apple-get-its-weather-data/ "Where does Apple get its weather data?", California Learning Resources Network, July 2, 2025. But this site seems to be blocked:

(Sorry if this is not how I am supposed to "talk") Any reference to the source of Apple's weather should come from Apple IMHO. As of 6 Dec 2024, Apple provided this: support.apple.com/en-us/105038 which is the latest official thing I can find. This undated page also cites their sources https://developer.apple.com/weatherkit/data-source-attribution/ Both those things said, for me in postcode 85749, the data is categorically NOT pulled from the NWS because I have NWS forecasting 97F while my phone says it will be 82F; that is not a typo, but that is asinine. My point would be their should be some impetus to fix this page, but Satan forbid Apple did anything any more than any other techy mega blob. 69.137.188.239 (talk) 14:26, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
