The assertion that the "hymn is generally sung at American churches the day before Thanksgiving" is something that needs either to be supported or removed. Although that might be the practice of some churches, my own experience is that this is by no means "generally" true. PatriciaT (talk) 03:51, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

For what it's worth, it is true, and is done at many (albeit probably uniquely protestant) churches, and its motif was played in a recent episode of The Simpsons thanksgiving episode (yes I know that doesn't count but it is what it is). Just because you don't like it, and can successfully challenge others not to provide the truth when it's not convenient for them, doesn't make it false.

Kremser

Kremser's arrangement does not include a new melody. He used the 1626 melody with very few alterations and extended it to a vocal/instrumental score. He published the work in 1877 in his collection Sechs Altniederländische Volkslieder aus der Sammlung des Adrianus Valerius vom Jahre 1626.
