Since Waveform Graphics were arguably obsolete by 1981, Gnuplot was first written in 1986, saying "Waveform graphics were limited, but could still produce useful output when used in conjunction with programs like gnuplot." isn't really true. "could" as in possible, yes, but not in the past tense as it is here. I'd be surprised if anyone actually did use Gnuplot with Waveform Graphics. So the statement might be true in a literal, strict, pedantic sense, but not in any useful, historical, encyclopaedic sense.

Might be better replaced by some information about what people actually DID do with Waveform Graphics, some commonly used software or purposes it was put to. If anyone remembers!

What about LSI's ADM-3 terminal ?

[edit]

Lear Siegler, Inc. (LSI) started creating terminals in 1971. ADM-3 and most famous ADM-3A appears in 1975-1976. en.wiki speaks about TTL logic instead IC ... but the rest? also use Waveform graphics stuff... or what? Will be cool have more references 95.234.46.237 (talk) 15:01, 13 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Synclavier II

[edit]

Is this what the Synclavier II synthesizer used for graphics when hooked up to a terminal in 1981? One can see from the advertisement that the terminal says "VT100", but it must have been upgraded to show graphics. Perhaps a RetroGraphics or Waveform graphics add on? Does anyone know? http://www.preservationsound.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/SynclavierII_TerminalSupport_1981.jpg Ben (talk) 07:23, 5 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
