Name

[edit]

The term wave radar is rather confusing, in my opinion, since there are many types of wave radar which have nothing to do with ocean surface waves. In the present context, wave references to sea wave, not to some type of electro-magnetic wave. Is there a better name for this article, refering in a direct way to the use of these ground- and sea-based radar systems? Kraaiennest (talk) 09:36, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Platforms

[edit]

The article mostly covers marine-based sea wave estimation. What about wave radars on other platforms, such as airborne or spaceborne (SAR, scatterometers, and radiometers, for example)? Should these be discussed as well? Vidalian Tears (talk) 22:18, 5 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
