Super Bowl Appearances

[edit]

The Washington Redkins appeared in five Super Bowls, not four. In addition to those shown, they lost to the Miami Dolphins in 1973 and to the Oakland Raiders in 1984. ~2026-20738-94 (talk) 05:38, 4 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

The lead section says the team "appeared in four Super Bowls and won three under owner Jack Kent Cooke, general managers Bobby Beathard and Charley Casserly, and head coach Joe Gibbs from 1982 to 1991," which is a statement about the achievements of that era rather than the franchise as a whole. The Super Bowl VII appearance, which was under the previous ownership and the coaching of George Allen, is mentioned in the paragraph immediately above that, which clearly lists the three victories and the two defeats. -- rbrwr± 10:01, 4 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

On the preview page, there are 3 NFL championships listed. There should be a total of 5. And the three listed are off by a year. It should be: 1937, 1942, 1982, 1987, 1991. SO: ADD 1937 and 1942. Change 1992 to 1991. Change 1988 to 1987. Change 1983 to 1982. ~2026-26481-89 (talk) 21:42, 30 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done. It's not clear what "preview page" you're talking about. The first instance of a list of championships in the article is in the infobox, which lists 5: 2 pre-superbowl, and 3 post-. Deacon Vorbis (carbon  videos) 22:34, 30 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
