1992 Tour

I don't understand the need to call his 1992 tour, "truly a solo effort." He wasn't in a band, sure, and the tour wasn't billed as such. But he did have a band on stage. I saw him during that tour, in Pittsburgh. I loved the venue though I don't recall its name at the moment. It had caberet table seating, and we had a table right next to the stage. He sat at the piano the entire time. It was very intimate and enjoyable. To see a musician of Zevon's caliber in that kind of venue is a dream. Anyway, I don't know that Zevon needed anything more than himself & a piano to entertain a crowd. To insinuate otherwise is a bias against his artistry & musicianship. You actually go to a Zevon concert to listen to the piano and the lyrics. Why would you need more than that? I don't get the message behind how this article is written.
