The election was for 3 seats in the East Province, so 3 people should have been elected, but it is treated as a single member election in the text. –Grahame (talk) 03:35, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Legislative Councillors were elected to six year terms and elections were every two years, so each election only elected one member for each province. You can see at https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/26512551 that only one member was elected. Steelkamp (talk) 04:35, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
