Theory

The theory that Magnuson was Swedish or Norwegian seems to be based on his name. This was adopted. He seems to have been of British origin. I don't know the details, but the fact that the records are "sealed" suggests that he was illegitimate. If both parents died so fast, secrecy would not be needed.

Magnuson and the film "Oppenheimer"

Magnuson was a member of a Senate committee in the film investigating Oppenheimer's connections to the Communists while working on the atomic bomb 2601:1C2:4E00:2100:9501:C535:1A48:2FD1 (talk) 17:10, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
