What about those flying saucers?

[edit]

I'm disappointed to see so little information about the UFO flap which commenced on Christmas Day 1964 and lasted over a decade, gradually fizzling out in the late 1970s. Whether or not you think Warminster was ever really visited by space aliens who, as they once explained during a phone call to a local journalist, hailed from the previously unknown planet Aenstria, being the flying saucer capital of the world for more than ten years (the Roswell legend as we now know it wasn't invented until 1980) is surely the most noteworthy thing ever to happen in sleepy little Warminster! It's certainly by far the most interesting thing to happen there in the last century. 86.136.178.206 (talk) 20:46, 13 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
