Walmart Labs now "Walmart Global Tech"
[edit]The is no mention of Walmart Global Tech as an entity within the Walmart article. Lets have a section and include this article within the main Walmart article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2026-83439-2 (talk) 17:14, 6 February 2026 (UTC)
Picture of Trump
[edit]
User:Monkeyvan is insistent that this photo of Trump be included on this article about a retail store. MOS:IMAGERELEVANCE says:
Images must be significant and relevant in the topic's context, not primarily decorative. Each image in an article should have a clear and unique illustrative purpose and serve as an important illustrative aid to understanding the subject.
I'm not sure how this photo helps illustrate Walmart to readers. The input of others is welcome. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:42, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
- I've applied a contentious topic warning on the user's talk page. While this topic is somewhat apolitical, the action itself does violate ECR broadly construed and I've let the user know. BusterD (talk) 18:47, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
- Editor named BusterD is likely a leftist to promote their agenda. Their personal dislike for the sitting US President is their personal mental problem. Also, the photo is under the 'Crimes" section. Between January 1, 2020, and March 20, 2024, there were 473 gun-related incidents resulting in 104 deaths at Walmart locations across the United States, according to tracked data compiled by advocacy groups like United for Respect and Guns Down America.
- President Trump picture is being added because this picture is mentioned in the context and statement "In addition to hundreds of thousands of petty crimes, more than 200 violent crimes, including attempted kidnappings, stabbings, shootings, and murders occurred at the 4,500 Walmart's in the U.S. in 2016. In 2019, 23 people were killed in a mass shooting at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas."
- President Trump picture is about the current US administration addressing the issue of mass shooting that happened in El Paso, Texas. The President is the head of the state and head of the executive government addressing the issue on television. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Monkeyvan (talk • contribs) 19:11, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Monkeyvan: I have placed a single warning on your talk page about personal attacks, though others may wish to go directly to ANI. You clearly are uninformed of Wikipedia's policies on civility, NPOV, or photos...and I don't have the time or crayons to explain them to you. Magnolia677 (talk) 19:30, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
Bangladesh building collapse
[edit]I came across to Walmart through the page for the Rana Plaza Collapse, yet there is no mention of that event here. Further, no mention of factories? Where does supply come from? This appears to be a deliberate omission to reduce bad press. BloomBear (talk) 04:13, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
- Walmart is mentioned in Rana Plaza collapse as one of the retailers which the Rana Plaza factories produced apparel for. That's where such a connection belongs, in my opinion. I don't think the Walmart article should contain info on the thousands of facilities used by its suppliers.
- And as for calling this
a deliberate omission to reduce bad press
, this article is written by Wikipedia volunteers, not Walmart. Your suggestion is verging on a personal attack. Meters (talk) 04:46, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
half of 1%
[edit]Half of 1% is 0.5%. Happy to help.
This is an edit request. I would change it myself, but the page is protected. MiloIsAustralian (talk) 00:33, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
