Question
[edit]The motacilla of medieval emblemata has various legendary associations; cf Alciati Emblemata liber. Does anyone know if the medieval motacilla corresponds to the modern taxonomic classification motacilla? 70.106.30.232 17:04, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Since Linnaeus' first treatment included dozens of species (and other early authors many, many more) now transferred to other families and genera, naming two randomly on this page is not notable. - MPF (talk) 22:10, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
